What benefits will Health Coaches bring to your practice?

Certified Health Coaches can be a valuable addition to your clinical team. They can provide motivation, behavior change tips, education, and communication needed to help clients create sustainable modifications that lead to better health outcomes. They help bridge the gap between what clients know they need to do to be healthy and the motivation challenges required to make and sustain those changes. They offer the expertise and qualifications to partner with doctors and help translate the plan of care into a plan of action.

Led by a certified Health Coach, your patients will progress through a 12 week guided, curated health program focused on behavior and lifestyle changes. The programs can also be personalized based on any unique requirements.

Is there evidence that coaching works?

Recent studies have been done to prove the efficacy of health coaching in multiple biomarker risk factors (including systolic and diastolic blood pressure, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, fasting glucose, body weight, body mass index, waist circumference, and cardiorespiratory fitness) for a diverse population.[1]

Health coaching has also shown evidence to improve health-related quality of life and reduce hospital admissions in people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.[2]
