How Yoga helped me during Pregnancy?

It’s not a secret that prenatal yoga will reduce your body aches and calm your anxiety from neverending choices you have to make regarding each and every detail. In the 16 years that I’ve been practicing yoga, it’s been of the most value during my two pregnancies and the time of recovery afterwards. Prenatal yoga held me together and brought me back to wholeness.

In my first pregnancy, my bone structure felt like jello, my joints were very loose and if not for yoga that kept my muscles strong, I’m not sure how I would be able to even walk normally. In my second pregnancy I was out of energy most of the days and yoga kept me going. The most, however, I’m grateful to prenatal yoga for giving me an excuse to escape from the whole world and spend some time connecting to my baby inside. 

This is a gentle yoga flow that will help to strengthen and prepare you for labor. Research has shown that prenatal yoga can help to:

Lyudmyla (Myla) Grytsyna is a mom and a yogi. She is a prenatal yoga instructor, a yoga therapist, 500-RYT and an Ayurveda practitioner. Seeing the impact of yoga on her body during pregnancy and on rehabilitation during postpartum, Myla developed a deep passion for working with pregnant ladies. She feels honored to guide mothers during such incredible times, helping to relieve pregnancy aches and discomfort, to decrease anxiety, to feel strong and confident in their body, to prepare for the birth and to bring the body to prepregnancy state after the delivery
